Find out How Hot Your City will be in the Year 2100

Start practicing your best Hamilton Porter impressions because within a few decades, you’ll be shouting, “I’m bakin’ like a toasted cheeser!  It’s so hot here!”

Climate change.  Global warming.  It doesn’t matter what you call it.  It’s happening.  The effects may seem like a distant nightmare that will probably never come true, but with each tractor trailer that lets the black smoke rip, we take one step closer to facing it head-on.  What exactly are we facing, you ask?  Decreased sea levels, extreme heat waves, and melting icecaps could all occur because of rising temperatures.

In case you’re a planner who doesn’t like to do anything without knowing the details beforehand, play around with the map above.  Type in your current city and see what the temperature will be like in the year 2100.

The emphasis here is “be like.” I really wish everyone would stop publishing these forecasting babbles. There is no way to know with any accuracy what temperatures will “be like” in 2100. Stop guessing.

Hi Ken – You’re correct. We cannot know for sure what 2100 will bring, but if climate change and temperature patterns continue their current trends, we can at least calculate and project what conditions will be like in the future.
